![]() My hope is that by the end of this thread, we'll have enough heroes in the legacy (some of whom will have had multiple incarnations and legacy promotions), and I'll be able to upload the legacy file for anyone who has been following along to download and use in their own games. This allows you to bring your favorite heroes back again and again, advancing them over multiple campaigns until they achieve the status of Mythwalker. ![]() Will they find a legendary sword hidden away for generations? Will they be touched by the powers of magic and turn into a fire elemental? Will they heroically sacrifice themselves to defeat a great evil? We'll find out! I will be creating a new Legacy/save file for this thread Heroes in Wildermyth are immortalized in saga even after their deeds have ended at the end of a campaign, all your characters are saved in your Legacy, and can be reincarnated into a new campaign, resetting to their youth at a lower level. Everyone who signs up will (eventually) get a hero named after them, and will get to follow along with their hero's journey through the myths and legends of the Yondering Lands. And so: in the grand tradition of a number of other Let's Plays that have been done on these forums, I invite members of the community to sign up and participate in the thread. Especially for people who like immersive RPGs with excellent storytelling. So, I absolutely love Wildermyth, and I want to share my love for it with as many folks as I can, because hey, it's an amazing game. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse, but they are never quite the same when they return home. In Wildermyth, heroes are regular people who step out of their lives and into the unknown, to challenge the horrors that lurk in the dark places of the world, and in doing so, they are changed. ![]() It has an extremely engaging tone, falling somewhere between Grimm's Fairy Tales and old legends of mythic heroism. ![]() It has gorgeous hand-drawn art and excellent music. ![]() It has five story campaigns, as well as generic campaigns (which can be 3 or 5 chapters long) that draw from a wide array of chapter frameworks and procedurally fill in the details. Wildermyth is a fantasy turn-based tactical RPG with procedurally generated characters and events. ![]()
